  • Spotify API - To read your playlists and track information. See the Spotify Privacy Policy.
  • YouTube API Services - To create playlists and add videos on your behalf. By using Playlist Buddy, you agree to the Google Privacy Policy.

You can revoke Playlist Buddy's access to your accounts at any time:

Information We Collect

When you use Playlist Buddy, we temporarily access the following information through the APIs you authorize:

  • Your Spotify playlists and track information (read-only)
  • The ability to create YouTube playlists and add videos on your behalf

We do not store your personal data on our servers. All authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser and are cleared when you log out. We do not have access to your passwords.

We do not retain any of your personal information after you log out. Authentication tokens used to access Spotify and YouTube on your behalf exist only in your browser session and are destroyed upon logout. We do not maintain databases of user information.

How We Use Information

The information accessed through Spotify and YouTube APIs is used solely to provide the playlist conversion service. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to save your authentication tokens and theme preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics services.

Your Rights

  • Access any personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time by logging out and revoking API access
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Since we do not store personal data on our servers, exercising these rights is as simple as logging out and revoking access through Spotify and Google's permission settings linked above.
